OUR STORY

TSUYA — Luster, Brilliance, Allure

The Japanese word 艶 (tsuya) describes the luminous sheen found in nature — the glow of lacquerware, the shimmer of fresh fish, the quiet radiance of something crafted with care. It is beauty that comes not from decoration, but from quality itself.

THE BEGINNING

TSUYA Omakase was born from a simple belief: that the omakase experience — traditionally reserved for intimate sushi counters — deserves to travel. We set out to create luxury sushi boxes that honor the craft of Edomae tradition while bringing it directly to your home.

We source our fish from the same networks that supply Tokyo's finest sushi bars. Every piece of nigiri is shaped by hand. Every box is composed with the same intention a chef brings to the counter.

OUR PROCESS

Sourcing

Our primary supplier provides the full tuna line — otoro, chutoro, akami — along with hamachi, madai, and premium uni. We complement with premium partners for oysters, abalone, Ora King salmon, and N25 caviar.

Preparation

Each week's menu is prepared fresh on Friday. Sashimi is sliced, nigiri is shaped, and every component is placed with intention — from the wasabi to the garnish.

Packaging

Our custom wooden boxes are designed to preserve freshness and present each tier as an experience — from the single-layer NAMI to the grand dual-tier KIWAMI.

Delivery

Every Friday, we deliver within 15 miles of the Bay Area. Each box arrives temperature-controlled and ready to enjoy — as if you were seated at the counter.
